Diversion Tactics is comprised of two turntablists/beatmakers and two emcees, who all hail from Guildford in Surrey.
The members of the crew are:

| Zygote | Beatmaker, turntablist, nosepicker, Boot recordings CEO. |
| Chubby Alcoholic | Lyricist, emcee extraordinaire, bank manager. |
| Barron ACJ | Destroyer of microphones, motorbike mechanic. |
The crew was formed in January 2000 out of a genuine love for hip hop and a desire to get their shit heard.
